A puppy’s first weeks are crucial for building immunity. Vaccination bridges the vulnerable period between maternal protection and a mature immune system.
At 8 and 12 weeks
The first injection protects against distemper, infectious hepatitis and parvovirus. A booster one month later consolidates immunity and usually adds protection against leptospirosis.
At 16 weeks and beyond
Rabies vaccination completes the initial protocol. Annual boosters then maintain protection. Every vaccination visit at Casavet also includes a general health check.
